Bank of Canada Foreign Exchange Intervention Explainer
This is actually a proof of concept for a project. The PDF below represents one way of presenting the client’s content (as a job aid or digital article) …
… whereas the RISE module at the link below is an example of taking the same content and recontextualizing it in a simple interactive format.
Global Blood Therapeutics Culture Book
For Global Blood Therapeutics, the client request was to create a short digital comic as a fun and creative way of explaining their corporate culture to new hires. I was responsible for the scripting of the comic – including rough page layouts, panel allocation, and all onscreen text and dialogue.
Pfizer Leadership Video
This short video was created as part of a leadership program for Pfizer. I was responsible for scripting the video (including narration and dialogue) and giving basic direction regarding the onscreen elements.
Non-Fiction
Tinyverse – Educational Animated Videos
Tinyverse is an educational video channel, for which Jeremy researched and scripted on several topics, including a Brief History of Dogs, and Biomimicry 101: How We Copied Nature.
The Future of Work – Article for Notes From Below
Below is an article I wrote on automation and the future of work – written long before the explosion of large-language models and other generative AI technologies we’re now faced with. Here’s an excerpt:
“Automation is one of the great buzzwords of the century. As work becomes more precarious and workers more divided from each other and alienated from their labour, more and more jobs are being done by machines – whether it be the robots that assemble cars in factories, or the algorithms that diagnose illnesses and find you the cutest cat pictures on the Internet.
It’s easy to see how this threatens workers – the twentieth century is replete with examples of humans losing jobs to faster, more efficient machines. What might be less clear is the opportunity this presents the left, to turn this technological tide to our advantage. But to do so, socialist movements are going to have to investigate what it is that they wish to accomplish – and maybe change the way they think.”
